The Wanted Take Shots At ‘Scary’ Christina Aguilera

‘She’s a total bitch,’ Tom Parker says of Aguilera, who supposedly snubbed the Wanted during an appearance on ‘The Voice.’

Any diehard fan of the Wanted can surely list innumerable reasons why the rippling, randy group is totally different from any of their Boy Band predecessors — they are British-Irish, they sing about booze, etc — but here’s one we’ve just become aware of: They are totally unafraid of speaking their mind.

That’s because, in an interview with New York radio station Now FM, they went off on “The Voice” chair-sitter Christina Aguilera after she gave them a less-than-friendly reception during their appearance on the show last week. And we mean they really went off.

“She’s a total bitch,” Tom Parker spat. “She might not be a bitch in real life, but to us, she was a total bitch. She just sat there and didn’t speak to us. Wouldn’t even look at us.”

“She was quite rude,” Siva Kaneswaran added. “Who does that?”

The Wanted were also asked to compare their interactions with Aguilera on “The Voice” with an earlier meeting with “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, when Max George planted a kiss on J.Lo and then the boys openly pined for her hand in marriage backstage. And, as you can probably expect, they definitely preferred one experience to the other.

“[Aguilera] was a bit scary, to be honest,” George said.

Then, when asked about smooching Lopez, he laughed: “Yeah, well J.Lo’s hot, Christina’s nothing special.”

Snaps all around. It bears mention that perhaps Aguilera was just having a bad night, because following the show, she also caught heat for . At press time, reps for the Wanted (and Aguilera) had yet to respond to MTV News’ request for comment on the burgeoning beef, but we suspect we’re going to be hearing plenty more from both camps in the days ahead.

Twitter for Android updated with improved search, push notifications and new discover feature

Twitter for Android

Twitter has now unleashed their latest update to Twitter for Android though, the verdict is still out on whether or not it's for the better. Rather then just a bug fix release, this one introduces some improvements overall to the app. Search has been improved across the board so that it is now easier to find people you follow as you type, providing a better user experience for auto-completion. The discover tab has also been improved in the fact that Twitter has made particular trends and news articles easier to be found. To round it all off, Push notifications will now let you know when you've got a new follower or have been retweeted or favorited — all of which can be enabled and disabled as do you so choose.

ComScore pegs Kindle Fire at more than 50 percent of the US Android tablet market

We’ve seen some pretty clear indications that the Kindle Fire was rapidly gaining market share among Android tablets, and ComScore is now out with a new report that indicates it recently crossed a big milestone. According to the research firm, the Fire’s market share in the US fully doubled from December to February, with it standing at 54.4 percent as of the end of the month. Counted together, the Galaxy Tab family sits in second at 15.4 percent, while the Motorola Xoom and Asus Transformer come in at 7 and 6.3 percent, respectively. Of course, the Kindle Fire isn’t quite your ordinary Android tablet, so this is likely better news for Amazon than Google. In addition to that, ComScore also looked at the browsing habits of tablet users, and unsurprisingly found that larger screens tended to lead to more content consumption, with 10-inch tablets boasting a 39 percent higher consumption rate than 7-inch devices. You can find all the numbers at the source link below.
